Coral reefs are some of the most diverse ecosystems on the planet, but they are also incredibly fragile. As divers, we have a unique responsibility to protect the underwater environments we love so much.
The Golden Rules
Perfect your buoyancy. The number one cause of diver-related reef damage is poor buoyancy control.
Use reef-safe sunscreen. Chemical sunscreens contain oxybenzone and octinoxate, which bleach corals.
Never touch or take anything. Look with your eyes, not your hands.
